Application Process

The Hume Center is a member of CAPIC and BAPIC and abides by the application calendar and procedures of these organizations. If you are applying through the above sites please abide to their application processes and disregard the application requirements below.

Required application materials:

  • Cover letter clearly stating department interest(s)
  • Curriculum vitae
  • Three letters of recommendation
  • Official graduate school transcript (unbroken seal)

Additional Requirements for Specific Programs

  • If applying for the Assessment program, please also submit two sample psychological assessment reports.
  • If applying for the Behavioral Consulting Services, please also submit one sample report with behavioral interventions.
  • If applying for a pre-doctoral internship through CAPIC, please also submit the CUA and CERF located on the CAPIC website.


  • Practicum: BAPIC follow BAPIC set deadlines.
  • Pre-Doctoral Interns: CAPIC follow CAPIC set deadlines.
  • Post-Doctoral Fellows: Rolling deadline until positions filled.
      Post-doctoral Fellowship positions are available in the following programs for the
      2015-2016 training year:
  • Contra Costa County Behavioral Health Treatment Programs (CCCOP/PHP) - Masters Degree required
