
The Hume Center’s comprehensive multicultural and multilingual continuum of care operates nine service departments out of two main, and three satellite, clinics as well as relevant on site services provided in the community and local schools. Our services are primarily performed in the Contra Costa and Alameda Counties, with some clinical services also available in the greater Bay Area.
We value professional and accessible services. Our clinicians are licensed in the state of California, and we have great pride in being able to provide services in multiple languages. Hume Center CSP provides community support and services in partnership with CIOS’s specialty mental health services for East and West Contra Costa County, California. The Community Support Programs employ a client and family driven, culturally responsive approach to individually tailored services that assist consumers with chronic, serious psychiatric disabilities to achieve optimum independent living skills and integration into their communities.
The program offers rehabilitation and support services, as well as outreach and engagement to consumers who have been referred to the Hume Center by Contra Costa County Behavioral Health. This program can provide assistance with:

The Hume Center started psychotherapy services for adults with severe psychiatric disabilities in 1993. This was expanded to include a Partial Hospitalization Program in 1994. In 2001, weekly psychotherapy services were expanded to East County by opening an office in Pittsburg. The Hume Center became a Full Service Partner with Contra Costa Behavioral Health Services in 2013 and contracted to start offering intensive services in 2014 in Community Support Program East. In 2016, Hume Center was awarded the opportunity to expand its FSP services to West County and implemented Community Support Program West.

In our Richmond Clinic and West Contra Costa County communities, and our Pittsburg Clinic and East Contra Costa County communities.
Our CSP (FSP) programs serve those with Medi-Cal and are referred and authorizated to our clinics through Contra Costa Behavioral Health offices, either East County or West County clinic.
Treatment teams that include clinicians, a psychiatrist, psychiatric nurse practitioners, case managers, peer specialists, family partners, and doctoral and masters level interns.

Career Progression:
Dr. Fujikawa has a solid foundation in Clinical Psychology expertise, and brings over 10 years of experience to his role.
He began as a Practicum Student with the Hume Center’s Contra Costa Outpatient Program 2010 – 2011. He then went to the Community Institute for Psychotherapy in San Rafael to complete his Pre-Doctoral Internship in 2013, followed by a Fellowship at DeAnza Community College Psychological Services for his Post-Doctoral work. After that he was hired at the Outpatient Psychiatry Services of Highland Hospital in 2015, and made a full circle back to the Hume Center as a Staff Psychologist in the Community Support Program and Contra Costa Outpatient Program since 2016. Currently, he serves as the Pittsburg Clinical Program Manager.

Career Progression:
Dr. Bloxham is the Acting Clinical Program Manager at the Hume Center’s Richmond office. He began his time at the Hume Center as an extern in the Rapid Resolution program, providing therapy support to seniors at high risk of becoming unhoused. He then completed his Pre and Post-Doctoral internships in the Hume Center’s CSP and CIOS programs. Dr. Bloxham obtained his psychology license in early 2023 and became a Clinical Supervisor before being offered his current role. William’s goal is to train service providers to provide empathic care, thereby ensuring that clients have the best chance at navigate life’s challenges.

Dr. Bloxham’s theoretical orientation is integrative Psychodynamic Psychotherapy and his research interests are in the area of stereotypes in the cannabis industry. In his free time, William enjoys skateboarding and marathon running.
